Four people were killed in a tragic traffic accident in Altynsay district of Surkhandarya province on July 3, the press service of the provincial police department said.
A teen, 19, without a driver's license, drove a GM Lacetti. At about 22:30, he and four friends headed from Shurchinsky district towards Altynsay. At about 23:40, on the 15th kilometer of the 75B 012 highway, the car crashed into a concrete pole.
Two passengers died on the spot from their injuries. Two more were hospitalized in the district emergency department, but later died. The driver himself was also injured and is in the hospital.
According to the driver, the car belonged to his friend, who asked him to take the car to a car wash located about 200 meters away. On the way, he met his friends, and they decided to "go for a ride."
