Uzbek-Indian joint military drill Friendship-2022 will be held next year as per the plan of bilateral military cooperation between Uzbekistan and India.
The event is part of international military cooperation and will take place at the Yangiarik military training ground in the North-West Military District of Khorezm province. This is the first international military drill to be held at the training ground.
As part of the preparations for the training, an online meeting was held on the planned visit of the guest military personnel to Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by officers of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan from Tashkent, the Command of the North-West Military District from Nukus, officials of the Ministry of Defense of India and discussed the planned activities.
During the meeting, the North-West Military District Command demonstrated the combat capabilities of the Yangiarik military range, the created favorable conditions and the existing training facilities for practical training.
During the event, personnel from India expressed a desire to visit Uzbekistan in December this year. An agreement was also reached on some issues related to the training.
