Ruslan Mirzaev, an official of the Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan, has been appointed as the director of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure announced the presidential spokesman Sherzod Asadov.
Ruslan Mirzaev's candidacy was approved by the Council of Heads of SCO member states at the summit in Dushanbe. He will take up his duties on January 1, 2022.
In this post, Ruslan Mirzaev will replace the representative of Tajikistan, Jumakhon Giyosov, who has been the Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS since January 2019.
The Executive Committee of the SCO RATS is a permanent body. The headquarters is in Tashkent. The director is appointed by the Council of Heads of State on the recommendation of the RATS Council from among the citizens of the SCO countries for a period of three years.
