Uzbekistan welcomes the creation of an interim government in Afghanistan, stated the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yusup Kabuljanov in a statement.
“We hope that this decision will be the beginning to achieve a broad national consensus, establishing sustainable peace and stability in Afghanistan,” the statement addedsays.
Uzbekistan expresses its readiness to "develop constructive dialogue and practical cooperation with the new state bodies of Afghanistan," the statement emphasized.
On the eve, the Taliban movement announced the interim government of Afghanistan. Hasan Akhund, the head of the movement's leadership council, became the interim Prime Minister, and Abdul Ghani Baradar, the head of the political office of the Taliban, became the interim Deputy Prime Minister.
