The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov hosted the newly appointed German Ambassador Tilo Klinner on August 24, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Foreign Minister accepted copies of the ambassador's credentials.
At the meeting, the parties expressed mutual interest in building up cooperation in the political and diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, scientific and educational area, and discussed the schedule of upcoming official events at various levels.
The Ambassador Tilo Klinner expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by Uzbekistan in organizing the evacuation of foreign citizens and diplomatic personnel from Afghanistan.
