At the, the mayor of Buston district of Andijan province, Sadbarkhon Mamitova died aged 55, the governor's office said.

The cause of death is indicated by complications caused by a disease of the duodenum.

Sadbarkhon Mamitova graduated from the Namangan College of Agriculture (1982−1986) and in absentia from the Tashkent State Agrarian University (1993). She worked as an agronomist at an enterprise for breeding silkworms in Jalakuduk district (1986-1996), a lead specialist of the women's affairs department in the provincial governor’s office (1996-1997), chairman of a farm (1997-2001), chairman of a rural public association (2001-2005), chairman of the district farm (2005-2006), head of the registration inspection at the district khokimiyat (2006-2007).

In addition, she temporarily held the post of Jalakuduk deputy mayor/chairman of the provincial women's committee (2007-2008), chairman of the Mahalla fund branch (2009-2011), head of the office of the provincial council of Milliy Tiklanish party (2011-2012), director of the district Center for the Promotion of Employment and Social Protection of the Population (2012-2017), First Deputy Head of the District Council for Coordination of the Activities of Citizens' Self-Government Bodies (2017-2019).

In March 2020, Sadbarkhon Mamitova became the third female mayor among the acting heads of districts, cities and provinces of Uzbekistan.
