On July 24, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the presidential press service said.
At the beginning of the conversation, Vladimir Putin congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday. The two leaders discussed a number of issues of the Uzbek-Russian ties and the schedule of events at the highest level.
The counterparts reportedly commended the upward trend in the bilateral ties between the countries, first of all, the steady growth of the two-way trade, the successful implementation of joint projects and cultural and humanitarian exchange programs and underscored the importance of the early launch of the coronavirus vaccines production unit in Uzbekistan.
