The Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Afghanistan and India in Dushanbe.

Abulaziz Kamilov left for Dushanbe to attend the next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member states. On July 13, the Minister Kamilov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Shah Mahmoud Qurayshi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Hanif Atmar and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India Subramanyam Jaishankar.

“The parties reportedly discussed topical issues of cooperation with these countries in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas and exchanged views on international and regional issues. Prospects for further development of multilateral structures, including within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, were discussed.

Special attention was paid to the conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Threats and Opportunities” to be held in Tashkent on July 15-16, 2021.

During the meetings, it was noted that the Tashkent Conference is a timely and important international forum that will not only help intensify trade and economic ties between South and Central Asia, but also effectively contribute to regional stability.
