Governor of the Samarkand province Turobjon Djuraev was dismissed from his post, Kun.uz said. Djuraev will be reportedly replaced by Erkinjon Turdimov, the Surkhandarya province governor since December 2016.

In turn, the prosecutor of the Tashkent province, Bahodir Pulatov will be appointed as governor of Surkhandarya province.

Recall that on July 11, the Internet spread information that the hokim of the Samarkand province Turobjon Juraev was arrested while he was taking a bribe from a construction company.

However, no official statements has yet been made on the reshuffle.
