For the first time in Uzbekistan’s history a new type of operation was performed at the Children's Multidisciplinary Clinic of Tashkent State Medical University, the press service of the Ministry of Health said.
Reportedly, pediatric cardiac surgeon Bobur Turaev removed the damaged three-leaflet valve of a 6-year-old child and implanted a valve instead made from the auricle of the right atrium of the heart.
This complex surgical procedure is notable not only for being performed for the first time in Uzbekistan, but also for being performed only in developed medical centers.

Turaev holds the graduate degree of the University College London as a scholarship holder of the "El-Yurt Umidi" Foundation in 2018-2019, He had advanced training in clinics in about 10 developed countries, and is the author of about 20 scientific papers. To date, he has successfully performed heart operations on more than a thousand children.
