Three new automatic air quality monitoring stations have been launched in Tashkent as part of the joint Automation of Air Pollution Monitoring project by Zamin Foundation, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Agency of Hydrometeorological Service (Uzgidromet).

According to the press service of the Zamin Foundation, since the beginning of the project in Uzbekistan, a total of 19 automatic stations have been connected to the unified database of the national platform: www.monitoring.meteo.uz.

On this website, they are marked in purple, and the three new ones are dark green. One is installed near the Uch Kakhramon post, the second - near the Zenit plant, and the third - near the New Uzbekistan Park.

The Zamin Foundation added that the stations are not just detectors or sensors, but full-fledged laboratories for monitoring air quality.

Stations manufactured by Horiba (Japan/Germany) are considered benchmarks and are used by leading organizations, such as the Finnish Meteorological Institute for calibration of their measuring equipment.

The stations supplier contract is awarded following an open international call for bids, the Foundation concluded.
