The Competition Development Committee acknowledged Knauf Gips Buxoro as a dominant company in the market, the press service of the committee said.
The committee’s analysis found that the share of Knauf Gips Buxoro in terms of production and sale of gypsum board products in the market is above 40%.
Based on this, the company was recognized as the dominant company in line with Article 13 of the Competition Law.
Knauf Gips Buxoro was founded in July 2006. The owners are Knauf International Gmbh (75%) and Deg - Deutsche Investitions Und Entwicklungsgesellschaft Mbн (the DFI Institute for Financial Development and a subsidiary of the German bank KfW Group).
In December 2023, the Competition Committee included Yandex GO in the list of companies with a dominant position in Uzbekistan with a share of 86.3% in the hail ride market. There are currently 94 companies in this register. The committee recently decided to recover unjustified income from a subsidiary of Lukoil and Navoiazot as a result of violating the procedure for selling monopolized items.
