Delegation of the Moscow’s Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure in landed in Tashkent, the press service of the Traffic safety police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
The purpose of the visit is to assist in improving the traffic management system and increasing safety on the streets and roads in Uzbekistan.
Reportedly, the joint efforts will allow to adopt advanced practices and technologies that will help improve the transport situation in Uzbekistan.
During the week, Russian specialists will familiarize themselves with the transport situation in the capital and conduct training for officers of the Road Safety Service.
On Monday, they visited some intersections in Tashkent to assess traffic flows, the operation of traffic lights and factors that may affect traffic safety.
Based on the findings of the research, they will draft recommendations to improve the efficiency of road infrastructure and ensure safe and comfortable movement of motorists, pedestrians, public transport passengers and other road users.
