Two people were killed and four were injured in a road accident in Sharaf-Rashidov district of Jizzakh province early on Saturday morning, the press service of the province’s police department said.
The accident occurred on the 998th kilometer of the M-39 Tashkent-Termez highway. A Yutong bus rammed the back of a HOWO truck. Two men from Khojeyli and Muynak districts of Karakalpakstan autonomy died on the spot from injuries.
Three injured people are also residents of Karakalpakstan (Nukus and Takhiatash district), the fourth is a French citizen.
Reportedly, government agencies are dealing with delivering passengers to their destinations.
Social networks report that the bus was traveling from Nukus to Almaty (Kazakhstan).
