President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will attend the opening ceremony of the Humo Ice Arena complex, which will be held on March 15, the Uzbekistan Hockey Federation said.
The Russian ice hockey and figure skating stars, the likes of Pavel Bure and Valery Kamensky, are reprotedly expected to attend the event.
Among the guests will also be the members of the government and MPs, governors, representatives of public organizations, scientists and artists, athletes, Paralympians, the diplomatic corps, pupils of children's sports schools, orphanages.
The main theme of the opening ceremony will be the synergy of the beauty of winter sports and the ice arena itself, unique in architecture and multi-purpose.
The ceremony will feature modern art with light, laser and sound, vertical and horizontal projection, unique scenery, 3D animation, performances of artists, dance groups, acrobats and aerial gymnasts, figure skaters, hockey players and other sports.
The evening of the grand opening will also feature The Nutcracker on ice, as well as a grandiose musical show program.
