Deputy PM/Minister of Investment Jamshid Khojaev met with Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Baghdad Amreev.
The parties discussed preparations for major events, considering the first summit of the Organization of Turkic States and the 11th meeting of the Ministers of Economy and Trade, which are planned to be held in Samarkand in November this year.
The sides considered the ways to further expand cooperation in trade, investment and financial areas and expressed mutual interest in signing the agreement on the establishment of the joint investment fund and expediting the process of its setting up in Tashkent.
The parties outlined specific measures for the implementation of the initiatives to set up the Scientific-Research Center of Trade Cooperation of Turkish States and the Center of Engineering and Technologies and emphasized the importance of implementing these initiatives to further strengthen trade-economic and investment relations between the OTS countries.
The Turkic Summit will be held in Samarkand on November 11 this year.
