President Mirziyoyev approved amendments aimed at improving social protection, the Ministry of Justice said. Firstly, amendments have been made to the Rent Law, providing for deleting of tenant becoming disabled event serving as grounds for terminating a rent agreement.
Individuals are also entitled to apply for a pension through governmental service centers or through the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services.
While, the law defines the procedure for establishing the minimum pension amount at a level not lower than the minimum consumer spending, as well as increasing the size of pensions taking into account the growth rate of the consumer price index for goods and services during the year.
The Accumulative Pension Provision to Citizens Law has also been amended to provide that information on a citizen’s acquisition of the right to state pension provision, sent by the Pension Fund to the People’s Bank in electronic form through the information system, shall be the grounds for receiving accumulative pension payments.
