Sublimation Festival 2025: From Local to Global. Inspiration that Unites Music and People will take place on the courts of Tashkent’s Yunusabad Sports Complex on September 12–13, 2025.
While the world has increasingly set sights on the Central Asia, Uzbekistan is experiencing a quiet but tangible transformation of sound, creative environment and cultural identity.
Sublimation Festival is back with its new program.
Sublimation is not just a festival, but a movement that changes the perception of modern music and creative scene of the region.
In a world where cultural trends often come from outside, Sublimation goes the opposite way — sharing with the world what was born here, in Uzbekistan.
The festival arose at the intersection of music, creative initiatives and a joint search for new forms of self-expression. Today, it strives to become one of the most notable cultural events in Uzbekistan and attracts the attention of the international community to Uzbekistan’s modern culture. Its founders, Madina Ishmuradova, a cultural strategist and producer, and Sabina Inoyatova, an artist, program director and music producer, combined their experience working with artists and their vision of the global creative environment to create a space where tradition and avant-garde, local and global meet.
Inspiration is the theme for 2025.
It is about how an idea is born, how creativity changes life, and about the moments that unite people, turning into a creative act. This theme is revealed in the musical program, and in the scenography, lighting design and visual identity of the festival - from the images of the sky and air that are one for the world to the rhythms in which you can hear the breath of modern Uzbekistan.
The program will unite world and local performers: Acid Arab, Kikelomo, Basic Chanel, No Plastic will perform together with Sabinē, Trace, Lola, Bu Qala, the Youth Choir of Uzbekistan and other local ones. One of the stages will be given over to the world music platform Boiler Room - whose broadcasts are watched by millions of viewers in more than 200 countries. The festival will be covered by international media - Resident Advisor, Dazed and Mixmag, and media support throughout the year is provided by Refuge Worldwide.
This year, Sublimation Festival will take place in an open-air format, on the territory of the courts of the Yunusabad sports complex. The spaces of the complex at the foot of the Tashkent TV tower will be transformed by light and multimedia installations, several thematic stages.
For several days, the area near the TV tower will become a symbol and "beacon" of change. Here, music will breathe, rhythm will fill, and the atmosphere of creativity will give energy.
On the last day of the festival - September 14, will feature a closed educational conference organized in cooperation with Resident Advisor for professionals and beginners in the music industry.
The atmosphere of Sublimation is the energy of music, visual art, unexpected collaborations and the feeling that you are in the center of a significant cultural event for Uzbekistan that is impossible to forget.
