SOF EXPO Exhibition Center in Samarkand hosted the international WORLD EDU 2025 exhibition in April 11-12. The largest educational events in the region brought together major universities, educational organizations, perspective students and specialists in the field of higher education.
This year the Exhibition gathered more than 70 universities and educational institutions from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkiye, China, Russia, Belarus, European countries and Southeast Asia and provided a unique opportunity for direct communication between representatives of universities and perspective students interested in quality education and international academic mobility.
As noted by the director of the SOF EXPO exhibition center Akhmad Tadjibaev, on the first day of the exhibition the number of visitors exceeded 4,000 people.
"The Exhibition featured educational programs - from economics, IT management to engineering disciplines, focusing on modern cyber programs, which are rapidly developing today not only in Uzbekistan, but also around the world," he noted.
According to Akhmad Tadjibaev, the event provided perspective students and their parents with the opportunity to receive comprehensive information about the admission requirements, discuss prospects with university officials, and make an informed choice of educational specialties. This year, special attention is paid to employment issues. The educational exhibition also includes a Career Day for fourth-year students, with over 25 large companies attending the event, including Coca-Cola, Sam Plast Servis, Uzbad, and other representatives of the regional business industry.
“Career Day allows students to learn about existing and future vacancies, as well as discuss with employers the most popular areas of study for the next 3-5 years. This is especially important when choosing an educational trajectory: some programs that are popular today may no longer be relevant by the time they graduate. Some companies are also interested in long-term cooperation with students and are considering the possibility of partially or fully financing their education with subsequent employment in their organizations,” added Akhmad Tadjibaev.
The event will certainly become a significant platform for exchanging experiences, establishing contacts and promoting the idea of high-quality higher education among young people.
