The Embassy of Romania to the Republic of Uzbekistan has the honor to announce that on 19 February 2024 at 17:00 in the premises of the Tashkent House of Photography under the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and in collaboration with the Institute of Fine Arts and Design named after Kamoliddin Bekhzod, will be held the opening of an exhibition of painting and sculpture dedicated to the personality and work of the great Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuşi.
This event is dedicated to Brâncuşi Day (19 February), as this day in Romania marks the birth of Constantin Brâncuşi, a pioneer of modernism and one of the most influential sculptors of the 20th century, called the “patriarch of modern sculpture”.
The exhibition consists of paintings and sculptures made by students of the Institute of Fine Arts and Design named after Kamoliddin Bekhzod, which are inspired by the masterpieces and prevailing themes of the work of Constantin Brâncuși – as a tribute paid to the personality of the great artist.
The exhibition will be held at the House of Photography under the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan from 19 February 2024 to 26 February 2024.
