The chief of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva announced the holding of the inaugural meeting of the Uzbekistan-US Business and Investment Council with the participation of the US President's Special Envoy, Ambassador Sergio Gore.
The discussions were reportedly productive and forward-looking; significant and meaningful work awaits us in key areas of strategic importance for both countries," she wrote on her Telegram page.
It was reported earlier that the US President's Special Envoy for South and Central Asian affairs Sergio Gore would visit Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on February 3-7.
According to the US State Department, Ambassador Gore will hold meetings with business leaders and politicians from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan during his visit.
Sergio Gore will also meet with high-ranking officials in Tashkent and Bishkek to explore opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation.
