The number of China-invested companies in Uzbekistan hiked by nearly 43% year-on-year, while the number of Russian enterprises declined, the Statistics Agency said in a report.
Reportedly, as of February 1, there were 15,163 foreign-invested companies in Uzbekistan.
It is noteworthy, that the number of Chinese companies has spiked, reaching 3,467 from 2,432 the previous year.
In contrast, the number of Russian companies has dropped: from 3,049 in 2024 to 2,973 at the start of 2025.
During the same period, the number of companies with investments from Turkey decreased from 1,901 to 1,869, from Kazakhstan – from 1,084 to 1,060, and from South Korea – from 736 to 660.
