Rostov striker Eldor Shomurodov struck five minutes from the end to secure Uzbekistan a 2-1 win over Oman in their AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Group F match at the Sharjah Stadium on Wednesday.

Uzbekistan coach Héctor Cúper has announced 27-men Uzbekistan squad for Antalya camp between December 15-30.

Uzbekistan represented by Nodirbek Abdusattarov, Shamsiddin Vohidov, Sitora Saparova, Zhavohir Sindarov and Nodirbek Yakubboev won the World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad 2018, Uzbekistan Chess Association said in a statement.

Uzbek athletes, who qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will receive 100 million soums each (US$ 12,000), the National Olympic Committee said.

Uzbekistan drew against Lebanon in a friendly match at CBUS Super Stadium in Gold Coast, Australia on Thursday. The match was part of the preparations for the teams for the UAE 2019 Asian Cup, which will start on January 5.

Héctor Cúper announced Uzbekistan squad for the training camp in Brisbane, Australia in the period from November 11 to 21 where the team will play two friendly matches against Lebanon on November 15 and Korea Republic on November 20.
