Uzbekistan national team will hold the postponed matches of the 2022 World Cup and 2023 Asian Cup joint qualifiers in October and November.

The AFC has announced new dates for the 4 matchdays of the World Cup 2022 and Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers which were scheduled for March and June.

The Uzbek Professional Football League (PFL), the top level league, will resume from June 5, according to a decision by the Special Republican Commission to Combat Coronavirus, with matches to be held without spectators.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has suspended four athletes from Uzbekistan - three powerlifters and one track and field athlete – each for four-year periods for separate anti-doping violations committed during a six-month period.
