A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the National Nuclear Security Administration within the US Department of Energy (NNSA/DOE) and the Uzbekistan’s Customs Committee, following the meeting between the US Ambassador to Uzbekistan Pamela Spratlen and the First Deputy Chairman of the Uzbek Customs Committee, Bakhtiyar Raimov.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev today issued a decree appointing Tashpulatov Shukhrat Dzhumaevich as deputy chairman of the National Security Service of Uzbekistan and who will concurrently be the head of Tashkent province department of the National Security Service.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed decree Friday appointing Laziz Tangriev as Director General of the Uzbek Press and Information Agency. Earlier Tangriev was the director at Gafur Gulyam publishing and printing house, in 2015 he was awarded the Dustlik Order.

The new Uzbek Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Alisher Shaykhov, left for London on Friday, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
