The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on November 28 to attend the 15th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, the presidential press service said.

The parties are expected to explore the ways to further expand multilateral partnerships within the organization, in particular, boost trade ties, increasing the transit potential of the region, promoting the "green economy" and introducing innovations.

During his visit to Turkmenistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also hold a number of bilateral meetings.

ECO is a regional multilateral structure created in 1985 with the aim of promoting the development of close trade and economic ties between the countries of the region. The organization's members are 10 states - Uzbekistan (since 1992), Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
