On April 30, 2017, the Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov held bilateral talks with the Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kisida in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), with the ministers currently attending the Sixth meeting of the Foreign Ministers in the framework of the Central Asia+Japan Dialogue.
The Ministers discussed the state and prospects for further advancing of bilateral ties, including within the Central Asia+Japan Dialogue format.
Abdulaziz Kamilov and Fumio Kisida confirmed the interest of two countries in building mutually beneficial strategic partnership in various areas through implementing of joint high-tech projects with Japanese investments, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The Ministers also discussed some topical international and regional problems.
Special attention was paid to the schedule of upcoming Uzbek-Japanese contacts at various levels.
