Muminjon Yuldashev, a businessman from Ferghana Province, has been placed on Interpol's international wanted list at Tashkent's request. A Red Notice for him has been published on the organization's website.
According to Interpol, Yuldashev was born on Feb. 18, 1976, in Ferghana Province. He is 175 cm tall, weighs 95 kg and speaks Uzbek and Russian.
The notice cites Part 3 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code, which covers embezzlement through misappropriation or squandering. The offense is punishable by a fine of 300 to 360 base calculation units, correctional labor of up to three years, or imprisonment of five to 10 years.
In April, Ivan Krupko, chairman of the Gomel Province Executive Committee in Belarus, held talks with Yuldashev, who was described as a businessman from Ferghana Province. In July, Nadezhda Lazarevich, chair of the Belarusian light-industry concern Bellegprom, met a delegation from Ferghana Province. Yuldashev was introduced as part of the delegation and as a co-investor in the company INKAS.
In 2023, he held a stake in the private lender Madad Invest Bank, but he is no longer listed among its shareholders.
In 2019, the World Bank imposed sanctions on Yuldashev and companies linked to him after an inquiry into a water supply project in Syrdarya Province. The bank's findings alleged that Yuldashev pressured a representative of a rival bidder and colluded with public officials.
He, the company Quvasoy Tamir Qurilish (later renamed Stroy Montazh Invest) and affiliated entities were debarred from World Bank-financed projects for several years. The ruling also triggered cross-debarment by several international financial institutions.
A 2022 report by UzInvestigations also identified Yuldashev as a major shareholder and chairman of the supervisory board of Madad Invest Bank. It also linked him to businesses in construction, textiles and footwear, including Baxodir Log'on Tekstil, Vodiy Shoes and Royal Dizayn Loyiha.
