On September 20, the Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov hosted the Swedish Ambassador to Uzbekistan Ingrid Tersman on the occasion of the completion of her diplomatic posting in the country, the Uzbek foreign ministry said.
Reportedly, the Minister Kamilov welcoming the Ambassador, highly valued her contribution to the expansion and strengthening of Uzbek-Swedish ties and emphasized satisfaction that in recent years there has been a significant stepping up in the bilateral political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.
He emphasized that the planned opening of the Uzbek embassy in Stockholm would contribute to the further development of bilateral cooperation. In turn, Ingrid Tersman said that during the period of her work (2016-2021) she witnessed broad democratic, socio-economic and judicial and legal reforms implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Ambassador of Sweden expressed gratitude to the Uzbek authorities for the favorable conditions created for the successful performance of her mission in the country.
