President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted a delegation from the Senate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, led by its speaker, Faisal Akef Methqal Al-Fayez Wednesday, the presidential press service said.
At the beginning of the meeting, the speaker Faisal Al-Fayez conveyed warm greetings and sincere wishes from King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan to Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The parties commend the intensive bilateral contacts and exchanges and the growing two-way trade volumes and the number of joint ventures.
They stressed the importance of stepping the activities of the friendship groups in parliaments based on the roadmap and strengthening their role in ensuring the effective implementation of the reached agreements, and focused on strengthening cooperation in trade, industrial cooperation, tourism, and cultural and humanitarian collaboration.
In this context, they pointed to need for effective implementation of the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the business forum of leading companies, scheduled for this year in Tashkent.
