The visit of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Russia is expected in 2021, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said on Monday in Tashkent.
“We are preparing for the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan, which, we hope, will take place this year,” he said at the Valdai Club conference “Russia and Uzbekistan in the Face of Development and Security Challenges at a New Historical Stage of Cooperation”.
According to the Deputy Minister, a very solid package of documents has been prepared. “First of all, in the field of trade and economy, as well as in other areas, including defense. We hope that this visit will become a strategic milestone in our relations,” Rudenko said.
