The First Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Laziz Kudratov has been appointed the Director General of the newly created Strategic Development Agency.

Laziz Kudratov, 40, worked in various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade, was an adviser on trade and economic issues at the Uzbek Embassy in the United States, then director of the Uzinfoinvest Agency in charge of information support and assistance to foreign investment.

Since 2018, he worked as First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Investments, and in January 2019 he was appointed First Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade.

The Strategic Development Agency was created in July this year. Its goal is to study the issues of attracting investments and implementing projects by industries and provinces.
