In line with the Article 6 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan," the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen - the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan has now the right to nominate a Prime Minister.
This was announced by the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Mirzo Ulugbek Abdusalomov via his Telegram channel.
The Central Election Commission held a meeting on 5 January to summarize the results of the elections to the Legislative Chamber.
According to the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Mahmud Istamov, 1,978,048 voters out of 3,147,079 voted in the run-off vote.
This is 62.8% of the total number of voters included in the voter list.
According to the Ministry of Justice, run-off vote was held at 25 constituencies on January 5. And the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis has now been fully formed. And as the final result, the political parties obtained the following number of seats:
1. UzLiDeP - 53 (35%)
2. Milliy Tiklanish (National Revival) - 36 (24%)
3. Adolat (Justice) Social Democratic Party - 24 (16%)
4. People's Democratic Party - 22 (15%)
5. Ecological Party - 15 (10%).
