Officials of Uzbekistan’s Consulate General held talks with the CEO of National Company of Kazakhstan, Aktau Sea Commercial Port Abai Turikpenbayev.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the technical capacities of Aktau Sea Commercial Port and the prospects for delivering Uzbek products to third countries via this seaport.
Abai Turikpenbayev noted that the port is currently expanding its capacities, including diversifying via expanding transit and container transportation, becoming an important part of the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
he added that the port aims to increase the volume of transit transportation to over 5 million tons by 2024. In addition, the delivery of containerized cargo from Central Asia and other countries is also actively developing.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to step up cooperation with the Uzbek partners and jointly implement promising joint projects.
