Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov will attend the 2019 Munich Security Conference. "The Uzbekistan delegation headed by Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov will visit Germany on February 13-16, 2019 to attend the Munich Security Conference 2019 and will hold a number of bilateral meetings in Munich" - the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Munich Security Conference is expecting a record number of government officials this year, with 40 heads of state and government and 80 ministers confirming their participation.
While, the French President Emmanuel Macron and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly refused to attend the conference.
The United States will be represented by the Vice-President Mike Pence, the Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan, Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, and the President Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, who hold presidential advisers posts. Russia will be represented by the Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
