All pharmacies and hospitals in Uzbekistan will be required to pay VAT from April 1, 2025, regardless of income. Tax authorities will automatically generate VAT reports based on virtual cash register data, online cash register receipts and electronic invoices, as well as other external and internal data.
In addition, it is planned to cancel the excise tax on imported polyethylene raw materials (the excise tax on polyethylene granules today is 10%), which is used to produce pharmaceutical products.
