Official presentation of the updated website, virtual reception and hot line of the Oliy Majlis Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) was held in the Ombudsman’s office.
The event was attended by representatives of the press services of state-run and non-government organizations, human rights institutions and mass media.
It was noted that the upgrading of the Ombudsman’s site was part of the measures aimed at ensuring the transparency of public authorities, freedom of access to information and launching of direct dialogue with the public.
The site includes avirtual reception, to which the Uzbek nationals, stateless persons and foreign nationals residing in Uzbekistan may apply, with no digital signature required.
The site will regularly inform the users about the activities of the Ombudsman - the results of its work on consideration of complaints, improvement of legislation, raising the legal culture, development of international cooperation. Also, the annual reports to the Houses of Parliament will be posted on the site.
The upgraded website has added a forum where users can discuss matters related to rule of law and execution of program documents, bills and various human rights related problems.
The site contains contact details of the Secretariat of Ombudsman and its representative offices in the regions, day and time of reception.
