President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev today signed a decree on awarding the founder and CEO of the Russian USM Holding Alisher Burkhanovich Usmanov with El-Yurt Hurmati (appr. transl. Homeland's Esteem) Order.
As noted in the document, the well-known fellow countryman has been awarded with the order for "tremendous contribution to strengthening economic, social and cultural-humanitarian ties between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation, effective implementation of major investment projects in our country, active involvement in the creation of unique spiritual and educational complexes with the aim of reviving and preserving the rich historical heritage and national values of our people, sincere love for the Motherland, which is an example for the youth, as well as for assistance in the development of Uzbekistan's sports and tourism potential."
