President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today visited Tashkent’s Yunusabad region, to familiarize himself with the phase II stage of of Yunusabad Metro extension, the President press service.
305 m concrete works and 330 prefabricated reinforced concrete structures were reportedly erected, with over 200 workers and engineers engaged in the works. The 2.9 km extension works are to be completed in 2019.
"The main goal of all our efforts is to create facilities for people," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev. – Firstly, we have to ensure the complementarity of metro lines and bus routes, monitor the use of public transport and optimize the routes, it is also necessary to cut fares for public transport by increasing the number of passengers. "
Here was also presented information on the sky line construction progress. The President instructed to improve construction works, to use lightweight but durable building materials, and to provide additional services.
