For the first time in history Uzbekistan and Afghanistan launch a direct passenger flight, a source in the government said. According to the source, on Wednesday at about 9:00 AM the first direct flight from Kabul, operated by the Afghan carrier Kam Air under a code-sharing agreement, will land in Tashkent. However the source didn’t elaborate on the flight frequency.
According to experts, the opening of the Kabul-Tashkent passenger flight will open new prospects for bilateral cooperation, enhancing Uzbekistan's transit potential.
