Minister of Investments Laziz Qudratov met with the Minister of Trade of Afghanistan Nuriddin Azizi, who visited the Termez International Trade Center in Surkhandarya province Saturday.
During the talks, the parties discussed the bilateral Uzbek-Afghan trade and economic ties and the ways to advance them, and identified specific measures to increase the two-way trade to $ 3 billion.
Along with trade, they considered next steps to expand mutually beneficial cooperation and industrial cooperation in the fields of agriculture, textile, pharmaceuticals, food and mining.
As part of the visit, B2B negotiations were organized with the participation of about 60 business leaders from both sides, during which they had the opportunity for networking, discuss practical aspects of implementing new joint projects and trade agreements.
