On Thursday, March 20, 2025, the opening of the photo exhibition “A Continuous Celebration — Paris on the Map of Artistic Searches of Romanian Artists” took place at the French Alliance in Tashkent.

The photo exhibition includes reproductions of works stored in the Engraving Cabinet of the National Library of Romania, from the works of thirteen artists: Ion Valentin Anestin, Leon Bijou, Elena Pic Brătescu Moisescu, Catul Bogdan, Ștefan Dimitrescu, Viorel Huși, Gheorghe Ionescu-Sin, Iosif Iser, Sabina Negulescu-Florian, Ion Petre Orleanu, Theodor Palladi, Constantin Petrescu-Dragoe and Rudolf Schweitzer-Cumpan. In addition to their artistic value, these works give an idea of ​​​​how Romanian artists created and lived in France.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Library of Romania with the support of the French Alliance Tashkent. This event was held as part of the celebration of Francophonie in Tashkent.

In his welcoming speech, the Ambassador of Romania in Tashkent Daniel Cristian Ciobanu cordially congratulated the Uzbek people on the holiday of Navruz and conveyed the best wishes for happiness and prosperity. He noted that there are very good relations between Romania and Uzbekistan in all areas. 2024 was a very successful year in terms of diplomatic and economic ties. The Ambassador emphasized that culture is a bridge that brings our peoples together. The Romanian diplomat drew attention to the great potential for cooperation in this area.
