Uzbekistan Railways has resumed Tashkent to Moscow passenger train service, the company's press service said. The carrier had suspended international flights in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Train No. 505 departed for Moscow on September 24 at 19:55 from Tashkent Central Station. The train is expected to arrive at Paveletsky Station on September 27 at 23:12 Moscow time.
The train will call at stations in Kazakhstan (Saryagash, Arys, Timur, Turkestan, Zhanakorgan, Shieli, Kyzylorda, Zhosaly, Toretam, Kazalinsk, Aral, Sekseul, Shalkar, Zhem, Kandyagash, Aktobe and Zhaisan) and Russia (Iletsk, Orenburg, Sorochinsk, Buzuluk, Samara, Ryazan-1, Kuznetsk, Penza-1, Mariinsk, Ryazhsk-1 and Skopin).
The train No. 506 will depart on September 28 at 5:40 in the opposite direction and arrive on October 1 at 8:25 Tashkent time.
The train will reportedly consist of two compartment and five reserved seat carriages, as well as a restaurant carriage, the report says. The trips will be operated weekly.
