Mechanism of issuing work permits to migrants could be simplified in Kazakhstan in a proposed amendment on the portal for discussion of bills, the Tengrinews reported.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan has developed amendments to the rules for issuing, extending and canceling work permits for migrants. Public discussion of the draft order will continue through July 3.
"The document envisages the provision of public services through the electronic government portal, as well as the migration.enbek.kz platform, as well as the introduction of a notification mechanism when a migrant worker's employer changes," the Ministry of Labor said in a statement.
Also, in the draft, the amount of income tax payment from individuals according to the Tax Code, citizens who can get a permit to work in the household, is specified.
Reportedly, the mechanism of issuing work permits to migrants for a period of up to 12 months will be simplified, and the grounds for issuing and refusing to extend work permits will be ascertained.
