The State Security Service announced the launch of a criminal case into the death of 18 children who took Doc-1 Max syrup manufactured by the Indian company Marion Biotech.
The case was initiated against executives of the importing company Quramax Medical and Scientific Center for Standardization of Medicines LLC under Production, manufacture, purchase, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale or sale of substandard or counterfeit medicines or medical products, as well as the sale of medicines or medical products outside pharmacies and their branches, committed after the application of an administrative penalty for the same actions, resulting in human casualties charge. The punishment under this item is imprisonment from 10 to 15 years.
