President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Uzbek-Chinese JV Mingbulakneft in  Mingbulak district of  Namangan province, UzA reported.

The Exploration and Development of  Mingbulak Field Project provides for the commissioning of four exploration wells and workover of the four existing.

Currently, the main contractor - Xibu Drilling Engineering has completed the preparation of the drilling site and has built a temporary camp. This year, it is planned to disburse $15 million in loans by Chinese banks.

The M15 well has been recently launched at the field. Drilling operations will be conducted at a 6000 m depth and at abnormal pressure of 1200 atmospheres in a complex geological structure of  reservoirs.

The US$ 255 million  project, designed for 25 years, will allow to extract 200,000 tons of liquid hydrocarbons per year. The commissioning of the M15 well will create more than 130 jobs. The President held a conversation with builders and Chinese experts.

Also a presentation of the project of a hydroelectric power station in Namangan province was held here. In particular, it is planned to build small hydroelectric power stations with a total capacity of 38.5 MW with an average annual power generation of 150.8 million kWh. In particular, the construction of a cascade of small hydropower plants  is planned on on the Big Fergana Canal in Uchkurgan district.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that "hydro power is a great gift of the mother nature, it is not only renewable and ecofriendly but also abundant". He also noted that, China's experience will be utilized to build small hydro power plants in all provinces.
