Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov yesterday met with Thomas Shannon U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs in Washington.
The meeting was held during the visit of the Uzbek delegation to the United States, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The sides reportedly exchanged views on promising areas for further advancing the Uzbek-American dialogue in the political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other areas in the light of the practical realization of the ideas voiced during the thorough telephone conversation between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the U.S. President Donald Trump on December 19, 2017, and discussed other topical issues on the bilateral agenda.
