Uzbekistan national football team defeated Ghana B team in a friendly match at Namangan stadium on Friday. Otabek Shukurov opened the score early in the game receiving the ball from Oston Urunov after a marking error by Ghana defenders in the penalty area.
The score was equalized in the 70th minute by Abdul Fatawu Issahaku in a smasher free-kick. However, after a few minutes, Jaloliddin Masharipov, taking advantage of the opponent's defensive error chipped the ball into the net in one-on-one exit against the goalkeeper.
Uzbekistan football fans expressed discontent after it was revealed that Ghana Football Association had sent the reserve team for the Uzbekistan friendly, barely not even the second team, with not a single foreign-based Ghana player landing in Tashkent, as the Ghana A team had a scheduled WC qualifier against South Africa on March 25.
On March 29, at 18.00, the White Wolves will host Iraq natinal team at the National stadium in Tashkent.
