Uzbekistan will send two athletes to the 23rd Winter Olympic Games in South Korean PyeongChang, with over 6,500 athletes from 90 countries competing as the competitions which will take place from February 9 to 25.

According to the Uzbek Olympic Committee, the Uzbek figure skater Misha Ge in the Gangneung ice arena will perform in short program on February 16 and free skating on February 17.

Komiljon Tukhtaev  will compete in the men’s giant slalom on February 18 and slalom on February 22.

At the previous Winter Games-2014 in Sochi, Uzbekistan sent by three athletes: in figure skating - Misha Ge, in mountain skiing - Ksenia Grigorieva and Artem Voronov.
