Moderately hot weather will persist across most of Uzbekistan in the final days of August, with daytime temperatures ranging from 33 to 38 degrees Celsius (91 to 100°F), and reaching 39 to 40°C (102 to 104°F) in parts of the south, according to Uzhydromet, the country's national weather service.
An influx of cooler air is expected in northwestern regions, where daytime temperatures will drop to between 25 and 30°C (77 to 86°F) by August 31.
On September 1, a relatively cool air mass will spread across the entire country, bringing temperatures down by 3 to 5 degrees.
Dry conditions are expected to prevail during this period, with only northern Karakalpakstan likely to see brief rain and thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday.
Winds are forecast to strengthen in places across the country, reaching 13 to 18 meters per second, with gusts of up to 20 to 22 meters per second and blowing dust possible in some areas.
In Tashkent, mostly clear skies with no precipitation are expected.
Daytime temperatures in the capital will range from 35 to 38°C (95 to 100°F) on August 28–30, dropping to 34–36°C (93–97°F) on August 31 and 30–32°C (86–90°F) on September 1.
Nighttime temperatures will range from 20 to 22°C (68–72°F), falling to 16–18°C (61–64°F) on September 1.
Winds in Tashkent will blow from the east, shifting to the northwest, at 3 to 8 meters per second, occasionally strengthening to 10–12 meters per second, with blowing dust possible in some parts of the city.
